Under-17s beat Goiás in the second phase of the Copa do Brasil
With goals from Luiz Henrique and Lincoln, the youth team remains undefeated in the national tournament

Flamengo defeated Goiás, 2-1, on Thursday night (14), at Hailé Pinheiro, in Goiânia, and took the lead in search of a place in the next phase of the Copa do Brasil. With this victory, Rubro-Negro will only need a draw in the second leg to advance in the competition.
Even away from home, Goiás's favorite team started better. Flamengo opened the scoring in the first half with a Luiz Henrique goal in the 19th minute. In the second half, Goiás equalized in the first minute with a shot from the edge of the box by midfielder Flávio. Flamengo remained undeterred and continued to dominate, seeking a second goal. Five minutes after conceding the equalizer, Flamengo scored through Lincoln and held on to the lead until the final whistle.

The return match will be held next Wednesday (20), at 15 pm, at Estádio da Gávea. Flamengo only needs a draw to qualify for the next phase of the Copa do Brasil Sub-17; Goiás would have to win by two or more goals to advance.
