Under-19s win the debut of the 42nd Trofeo Dossena, in Italy
A 2-1 victory over Cremasca (ITA) was a comeback. The Ninho Boys are seeking their fourth international title of the season.
By Ian Sena - inAdidas Generation Cup, Nike Premier Cup, Dubai International Tournament. The Boys from Ninho believe that the three international titles won so far this season are not enough, and this Monday (11) they started their journey with a victory in search of another trophy far from Brazilian lands. Playing in Italy with their U-19 team led by coach Marcio Torres, Flamengo debuted in the 42nd edition of the Trofeo Dossena with a comeback victory over Cremasca (ITA) by 2-1 (Vitor Gabriel and Marx Lenin) at the Stadio Comunale, a result that leaves the Mais Querido in the shared lead of Group A of the competition in points alongside Cremonese, who defeated Genoa in the Italian duel of the first round by a score of 3-0.

The Red-Blacks saw their opponents score first in the 21st minute of the second half, with a goal by Ogliari. Mentally strong and relentless, the "Garotos do Ninho" fought back and turned the game around. Vitor Gabriel leveled the score in the 33rd minute, following a play by Marx Lenin and Bill. The winning goal came in the 40th minute, with a beautiful free kick by Marx Lenin.
"It was an extremely difficult debut for us, mainly due to the long journey and limited recovery time we had before the match, as we landed here in Italy on Sunday afternoon, and also due to the European style of play, with greater physical strength and combativeness that our opponent provided. The victory was very important and gives us even more strength to remain focused on the competition," said Ludyo Santos, Technical Coordinator of the category, who is making his official competition debut during the Trofeo Dossena.

With no time to rest, Flamengo returns to the field this Tuesday (11), when they face Genoa (ITA). With a new victory, Flamengo will be practically qualified for the semifinal of the international tournament. In this case, the opponent will come from Group B, composed of Atalanta (ITA), LND (ITA), Chievo Verona (ITA) and Maribor (ESL).
Flamengo took to the field with Hugo Souza, Vitinho (Vitor Ricardo), Aderlan, Natan Bernardo, Ramon; Gabriel Kazu, Matheus Alves (Marx Lenin), Luiz Henrique; Yuri (Vinicius Souza), Wendel and Vitor Gabriel (Henrique). Coach: Márcio Torres.
