Flamengo thrashed Sampaio Corrêa 4-0 in the ninth round of the Guanabara Cup, this Saturday (27), at the Saferj training center, located in Guaratiba. Douglas, twice, Germano and Guilherme, once each, scored the goals. The Rubro-Negro's next opponent will be Madureira, away from home, on October 4 (Saturday), at 10 am, at the Aniceto Moscoso Stadium.

With a strong pace from the start of the first half, Flamengo opened the scoring in the 16th minute. Douglas found the net after receiving a pass from Daniel Sales. In the 32nd minute, Germano doubled the lead with another assist from Daniel Sales. Five minutes later, Guilherme added the third with a free kick. Douglas capitalized on Pablo's through ball to close out the scoring and score his second goal of the match in the 5th minute of the second half.

In the Rio U-15 Cup, the Garotos do Ninho (Ninho Boys) drew 1-1 with Fluminense this Saturday morning, away from home at the Marcelo Vieira Stadium in Xerém. The opponent opened the scoring in the 29th minute of the first half. The equalizer was scored by Marcos Pierre, who received an assist from Ricardo Pietro and found the net one minute into the second half.

In the fifth round of the Guilherme Embry Tournament, in another match played this Saturday, the red-and-black U-16 team defeated Sampaio Corrêa 2-0 at Lourival Gomes Stadium in Saquarema. The goals came in the second half. Anthony capitalized on Bernardo's pass and scored the first in the 17th minute, and Wallace scored from the penalty spot in the 36th.
