Flamengo's U-20s crush Audax Rio 6-0 in Gávea and remain leaders
In the under-17s, the kids beat Moto Clube 6-2 and qualify for the Copa Rio

In a stellar match held Saturday afternoon in Gávea, attended by president Bandeira de Mello and coach Jorginho, the Rubro-Negro crushed Audax Rio 6-0 and remained top of Group B with a 100% record. The goals in the match were scored by Thomás (twice), Igor Sartori, Pablo, Quiroga, and an own goal by the opposing defender, following a fine play by Digão.
Demonstrating great tactical awareness and flaunting talent, the Gávea Kids dominated the match from the opening whistle. Coach Cleber dos Santos lined up the team in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Luan, Digão, Fernando, Samir, and Felipe Dias; Recife (Luan), Lorran and Quiroga (Renan Donizete), Pablo (Pedro), Igor Sartori, and Thomás.
In the next round, Brazil's most beloved U-20 team hosts Duque de Caxias in Gávea. The match is scheduled for 15 p.m.
Holy Saturday was a very good one for the Flamengo youth team. Besides the victory in the U-20 competition, Flamengo also won the final round of the qualifying round of the U-17 Rio Cup. Flamengo overcame Moto Clube-MA, crushing the Maranhão team 6-2, securing their spot in first place in Group C. In the other group match, Audax lost 2-0 to Atlético-PR.
In the second phase, Flamengo will face Coritiba at Alair Corrêa Stadium this Monday at 16 p.m. The match will be played in a knockout format. The winner will secure a spot in the next phase.
