In a year of unprecedented achievements, the U-20 Ninho Boys reached another important milestone in 2024: 100 goals scored in 56 games. An average of 1,76 goals per game. With this offensive prowess, Flamengo travels to Saquarema, in the Lagos Region, to face Boavista in the first leg of the Carioca semifinal. Kick-off begins at 14:45 PM at Elcyr Rezende Stadium in Bacaxá, with coverage on FlaTV.

The centennial milestone was achieved by the U-20s in the first leg of the Carioca quarterfinals against Nova Iguaçu, away from home. Guilherme and Wallace Yan scored in the victory that virtually guaranteed Mengão a spot in the semifinals. The goals are counted from the following competitions in which the category was represented: São Paulo Junior Football Cup, Libertadores, Rio Cup, Brasileirão, World Cup, and Carioca.  

"It's great to reach these goals. It represents great teamwork. We know how to kill the opportunities we have. And on Saturday, you can expect a very competitive team, much stronger than before. We'll fight to reach the final," said forward Wallace Yan, the category's top scorer who has played in various attacking roles and has 20 goal contributions.

In the Campeonato Carioca Sub-20, Mengão was commanded by both Filipe Luís and Raphael Bahia, coach of Sub-20 B. Bahia, in fact, commanded the team in more games this year (21 games), and therefore, 40% of the goals scored were with him in the technical area, indicating participation both in the season and in the category's campaign that reached the semifinals of the Carioca.
