Mengão's U-20s prepare for the Brasileirão final in Volta Redonda

Flamengo's U-20 team held its first training session at the Raulino de Oliveira Stadium, in Volta Redonda, on Tuesday morning (25), with an eye on the decisive game of the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão in the category, against Athletico. In the first leg, Rubro-Negro ended up losing 2-1 playing away from home, last Thursday (20).



The teams face each other again this Wednesday (26), at 16 pm, broadcast by SporTV, at Raulino de Oliveira. Coach Mario Jorge is without right-back Felipe Brian, who received his third yellow card in the last match. In the first phase of the Brasileirão Sub-20, Mengão qualified as leader of Group A, with 21 points won in 9 matches (7 wins and 2 draws). They scored 16 goals and conceded 11 in the first phase. Therefore, they face Athletico, who finished in fourth place in Group B, with 17 points won.
