In the grand final of the U-20 Brazil Cup, Flamengo drew 0-0 with Palmeiras on Saturday morning (12), at Arena Barueri, in São Paulo. In the penalty shootout, Alviverde ended up winning 4-2 and winning the title of the competition.

The game
The match started fairly evenly, with both teams sizing each other up. In the seventh minute, Flamengo created the first good opportunity. After a corner kick, Victor Hugo headed the ball just wide. Palmeiras, in turn, pressed high, making it difficult for Flamengo to get the ball out.

The Boys from the Nest managed to maintain more possession, with good movement from Matheus França, Victor Hugo, and Petterson. In the final minutes, Palmeiras began to threaten Kauã Santos' goal more. With few clear-cut chances for either side, the first half ended goalless.

Palmeiras' Mais Querido continued to push for the first goal and create the best opportunities. In the 10th minute, Petterson's shot from outside the box forced a great save from the goalkeeper. Cleiton then received a second yellow card and was sent off after a scuffle in the box with Palmeiras defender Naves. It's worth noting that the Palmeiras defender was the one who elbowed the red-and-black player and only received a yellow card.

In the 41st minute, Evertton took a shot, the ball deflected off Henri, and goalkeeper Kaique made a brilliant save in the corner to prevent the red-and-black goal.
