U-20 draws with Vasco in the Rio Cup

On Sunday morning (June 21.06), Flamengo's youth team faced Vasco away from home, in the state of De Los Lários, in Xerém, for the 11th round of the Taça Rio in the category. The Rubro-Negro drew 0-0 and with the result remained among the top four, which qualifies for the semifinals of the second round of the Carioca. The team entered the field without Jajá and Jorge, who were with the Brazilian National Team at the U-20 World Cup.

The first half started at a fast pace, with Flamengo attacking, posing a few threats through Lucas Paquetá, Douglas Baggio, Matheus Sávio, and Thiago Santos. In the second half, it was Vasco's turn to press, but the Flamengo defense held off the Cruzmaltinos' momentum, and the match ended goalless.

Flamengo remains second in the standings with 24 points, in the top four, alongside Botafogo, Cabofriense, and Madureira. The boys' next match will be this Saturday (June 4), at 27.06 a.m., against Bangu. The match will be at the opponent's home ground, the Moça Bonita stadium. The red-and-black U-10 team won the Guanabara Cup and is already guaranteed a spot in the final of the Carioca Championship in that category.
