Under-20 draws with Volta Redonda and ends participation in the Campeonato Carioca
With goals from Richard Rios and Mateus Dias, the red-black team draws 2-2 and focuses its attention on the fight for its second Brazilian championship.

With the victory needed, Mais Querido ends its participation in the 2020 edition of the Campeonato Carioca, now focusing its attention on the dispute of the Campeonato Brasileiro, a competition of which it is the current champion. Within the classification zone for the quarterfinals, Mengão receives Chapecoense next Sunday, in Gávea, in a duel valid for the 13th round.
Knowing that victory was the only thing the team wanted, the Nest Boys took the field and launched into the attack from the first minute. They opened the scoring early in the match. In the 15th minute, Ítalo attempted a cross, but the ball deflected off defender Tavares' arm inside the box. Richard Rios skillfully converted the penalty, beating goalkeeper Luiz, and scoring the first goal for the red-and-blacks in the semifinal. Volta Redonda attempted a response in the 18th minute, with a 2B shot that was safely saved by João Fernando.
Flamengo continued to dominate and looked for a second goal in the first half. In the 26th minute, Gabriel Barros passed to Daniel Cabral, who appeared as a surprise player in the opponent's box. He saw the goalkeeper coming out and attempted a chip. The ball sailed past Volta Redonda's crossbar. The home team equalized in the 32nd minute. Marcinho took a free kick from the edge of the box, the ball hit the Flamengo crossbar, and 2B tapped in the rebound to level the score.
The game was very even in the second half, with few scoring chances. But Flamengo constantly sought to control the ball and attack. In the 16th minute, Gabriel Barros drove the ball through the center and shot with his left foot. The ball grazed Luiz's crossbar and went out for a goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Flamengo regained the lead. Carlos Daniel delivered a low cross, the goalkeeper deflected it into the middle of the box, and Mateus Dias showed opportunism to score Flamengo's second goal of the match. Volta Redonda tied the game again in the 37th minute from a corner kick in the box.
The Mais Querido pressed until the end. In the 45th minute, Mateus Dias headed the ball to Luiz's right. In the 46th minute, Pablo unleashed a bomb, but the ball went too high. In the end, the draw ended the red-and-black team's participation in the 2020 edition of the Campeonato Carioca.
