The São Paulo Cup and Carioca Championship titles seem to be too little for Flamengo's U-20 team, which always wants more. Coach Marcio Torres' team played a great second half and debuted in the Brazilian Championship with a comeback victory away from home over Atlético Paranaense 3-1 (Vitor Gabriel, Ramon and Klebinho), in a match played on Wednesday afternoon (04) at the Francisco Muraro Stadium, in the capital of Paraná. The victory, very important in the first phase of the competition, which is short, gives the Garotos do Ninho the sole leadership of Group D, since Internacional and Figueirense drew 3-3. In the next round, Mais Querido hosts Santos, on the 12th, at 20:30 pm in a location yet to be defined, with live broadcast on SporTV.

In the third minute, Atlético had their first shot of the match through Vitor Naum. Yago Darub made a solid save. In the tenth minute, the Ninho Boys put together a brilliant attacking move. Vinicius Souza passed the ball to Bill, who saw Klebinho's fast pass. He got past the defender but pushed the ball too far forward, blocking the shot. In the 14th minute, the home team opened the scoring through Thiago Souza.

The game was evenly matched, and Atlético Mineiro went on the attack. Atlético nearly equalized in the 26th minute. Wendel stole the ball in midfield, dribbled past the defender, and shot, but goalkeeper Gabriel Mesquita made a good save. Vitor Gabriel challenged the defense for the rebound and passed it to Bill, who saw his shot deflected by the defense. In the 42nd minute, Vitor Naum missed a penalty for Atlético in the last dangerous play of the first half.

The Mais Querido (the most beloved team) came out of the break looking different and went in search of victory in the second half. In the fifth minute, Pepê scared Gabriel Mesquita with a powerful shot from outside the box. The Ninho Boys were the better team on the field and equalized in the 14th minute. Bill made a beautiful play down the left wing and crossed perfectly for Vitor Gabriel to level the score. Soon after, the turnaround came. Vitor Gabriel found Ramon, who beat his marker with speed and fired a cross that left the Atlético goalkeeper with no chance of stopping it, but he was helpless.

The locker room conversation paid off, and Flamengo returned for the second half much better on the field. The third goal didn't take long to arrive, and it was a stunning goal. In a beautiful play, Bill passed to Klebinho, who shook off his marker and fired a cross-shot to extend the Flamengo's lead. Atlético threatened with a shot that hit the post in the 37th minute, but couldn't pull off a goal to reduce the deficit. Calm and composed on the field, Flamengo managed the advantage and secured their first three points in the competition.
