U-20 debuts at Copinha

This Friday (January 03.01rd) Flamengo's under-20 soccer team debuts in the São Paulo Cup against Santo André, at 16 pm, at the Alfredo de Castilho stadium. The team, which traveled yesterday, concluded its training cycle for the competition with a practice match against Volta Redonda. The 2-1 victory gave confidence to coach Cleber dos Santos.
"The boys have shown that they are very focused on the competition. We have very high expectations for the opening game against Santo André. We have information about this team they formed for the Copinha, which is different from the team in the São Paulo championship. We have observers in São Paulo to collect data on them. We have already watched some friendlies and they seem to be very fast from midfield forward," he said.
Rubro-Negro is in group I of the competition and plays the second match of the group stage against Aquidauanense, on January 06th, at 21 pm, also at Alfredo de Castilho.
