In a match held on Sunday afternoon (03) at Estádio do Vale, in Novo Hamburgo, the Mais Querido U-20 team debuted with a defeat in the Copa RS Internacional. In a game with many individual and collective failures, the Garotos do Ninho lost 3-0 to Huracan, from Argentina. Next Tuesday (05), Rubro-Negro returns to the field to face Juventude, at 10 am, with live broadcast on SporTV needing a victory to stay alive in the competition.

João Pedro got his first shot for the Garotos do Ninho in the ninth minute. The long-range shot sailed over the bar, posing no threat to the Argentine goalkeeper. Like any duel between Brazilians and Argentines, the game was tight and tense, played between the midfielders, with neither team creating many scoring chances. In the 29th minute, Michael took a free kick into the box, Vinícius Souza headed it, and goalkeeper Alan made a great save, palming it out for a corner, the first clear-cut scoring chance of the game. 

Huracan opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, with a penalty taken by Matias Juárez. It was the Argentine team's first shot on target in the match. In the 36th minute, due to a defensive lapse in the clearance, Martín stole the ball from Aderlan and slotted it into the corner for the second. Flamengo only threatened again in the 43rd minute, with a good shot from outside the box by Hugo Moura, saved by Alan. On the next play, Martín tried from the middle of the field and nearly scored a great goal, but Hugo Souza came back in time and made a great save in the last dangerous play of the first half. 

The Boys of the Nest returned for the second half with three changes and the mentality of attacking the Argentines in search of an equalizer, but suffered a severe blow in the seventh minute. Hugo Souza miscontrolled the ball after a pass back, leaving Martin with an empty net to score Huracan's third goal. In the 10th minute, Huracan nearly pulled one back when Gustavo's header grazed the right post. 

Flamengo's next game in the Copa RS Internacional will be on Tuesday (05) at 10 am against Juventude, once again broadcast live on SporTV.
