On the afternoon of last Saturday (01.02), Flamengo's juniors suffered their first defeat in the U-20 Carioca Championship. In a match held at the Gávea social headquarters, the Rubro-Negro, which was led by coach Celso Martins, lost 1-0 to Macaé. Despite the setback, Fla remains well positioned at the top of the table, as they were undefeated in the competition with two draws and two wins.

Starting midfielder Caio Quiroga against Macaé, he said Flamengo deserved a better result. "Our team played much better and had the ball at our feet the whole time, especially in the second half. The problem is that we missed a lot of goals," he remarked.

In the next round, the sixth, Flamengo will face Boavista. The match will be held on Wednesday (05.02), at 16 pm, at Nivaldo Pereira Stadium.
