U-20s beat Bonsucesso 6-0 in the Rio Cup
Guanabara Cup champions and already guaranteed a spot in the Carioca final, the juniors are one win away from qualifying for the return semifinals.

Last Saturday (04.07), Flamengo achieved a crushing victory over Bonsucesso, at the Gávea headquarters, in the 13th round of the U-20 Rio Cup. The red-blacks led by Zé Ricardo won 6-0, with four goals from Renan Donizete, one from Robinho and another from Luã Lucio.
Competing simultaneously in the Carioca and Brazilian championships, the team demonstrated the strength of its squad by achieving a rout with a team of substitutes. In the first half, "Mais Querido" opened the scoring with Robinho. Luã Lucio extended the lead, and then Renan Donizete scored what would be his first goal of the match; he would go on to add three more in the second half, completing the rout.
With a guaranteed spot in the final of the U-20 Carioca Championship as the Guanabara Cup champion, Flamengo is very close to qualifying for the semifinals of the second round of the state championship. With 30 points and in second place in the standings, Flamengo needs a win in the last two rounds to mathematically secure a spot. The juniors' next game will be against Fluminense on Sunday (July 12.07) at 15 pm at CT Vale das Laranjeiras.
