Under-20s win big and secure a place in the GB Cup semi-finals

Before welcoming the seniors, Engenhão hosted the 13th round of the Campeonato Carioca junior team - and another rout for Flamengo. Coming off a 4-1 victory over Bangu, the Flamengo defeated Bonsucesso this Saturday (March 28.03) 4-0, with the return of Douglas Baggio, who served the senior team in the last match. In the opening minutes of the match, Thiago Santos opened the scoring. Even after the goal, Flamengo didn't slow down, extending their lead to 3-0 in the first half with two goals from Douglas Baggio. In the second half, Baggio scored his third goal, marking another hat trick, his fourth in the competition.

With the result, Flamengo reached 33 points in the Taça Guanabara standings and occupies the provisional lead. The result also guaranteed Flamengo a spot in the first-round semifinals, as the Mais Querido can no longer be overtaken by Madureira, currently in fifth place.

In the next round, the juniors will face off against Fla-Flu, the penultimate round of the Guanabara Cup. The match is scheduled for next weekend at Maracanã, with no date or time set by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation (FFERJ).
