U-20 wins and advances to the second phase of the OPG

Already qualified for the second phase of the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament (OPG), Flamengo's under-20 boys showed seriousness and thrashed América 4-0 in the last round of the first stage of the championship. The goals were scored by Jajá (2), Douglas Baggio and Renan Donizete. 

In the group stage, Flamengo was placed in Group F, alongside São João da Barra, Olaria, and Bangu. Group E includes Botafogo, Vasco, Fluminense, and Nova Iguaçu. The first match will be next Saturday (October 2th), at 18.10 p.m., at the Gávea Stadium, against São João da Barra. Only the first-place team from each group will qualify, with the finals being played in two home-and-away matches.

The team returns to play this Tuesday (14.10), at 19:30 pm, against São Paulo for the category's Copa do Brasil. The match will be at Morumbi, broadcast by ESPN and SporTV.

U-15 and U-17 also win
In the 9th round of the U-15 and U-17 State Championships, Flamengo faced Boavista in Gávea. The U-15 team, which leads the competition with nine games and nine wins in the Taça Rio, won 2-0, with goals from Markus and Thuller. The U-17 team returned to the qualifying zone, now occupying fourth place in the tournament. With a 2-1 victory, with goals from Léo Cereja and Diego, the team is closing in on the leaders. The next round for both categories will be against Vasco, in Itaguaí, this Wednesday (October 15.10).

U-13 and U-14 are doing well after the classic
In the Metropolitan Tournament, the under-13 boys drew 1-1 with Botafogo at CEFAT on Saturday (11.10/14). Yuri scored for Flamengo from the penalty spot. In the under-3 category, the boys, who lead the competition undefeated, beat Alvinegro 2-2, coming from behind after trailing 1-2, with goals from Athirson from the penalty spot, Vinicius, and Bernardo Ferrari. The Rubro-Negro is undefeated in the tournament's classics: they beat Fluminense PR 1-3 and Vasco 0-XNUMX.
