In a match played on Sunday afternoon (01) at Ulrico Mursa Stadium, in Santos, Flamengo's U-20 team, led by coach Mauricio Souza, beat Santos 4-1 (Yuri de Oliveira [2], Lázaro and Richard Rios). It was the fourth consecutive victory for the Garotos do Ninho in the Brazilian U-20 Championship. The triumph makes Rubro-Negro rise even further in the classification table, and reach sixth place, entering the G8 for the first time in the championship. In the next round, Mais Querido tries to maintain the momentum and receives Palmeiras, on Wednesday (04) at 15 pm, in Gávea.

Despite playing away from home, Flamengo were the better team from the opening minute and dictated the pace of the game. Yuri de Oliveira opened the scoring in the 40th minute of the first half. Gabriel Barros received the ball inside the box, made a great individual play, and passed it to Richard Rios. The Colombian shot from outside the box, had his shot blocked by the Santos defense, and saw the ball fall to Yuri de Oliveira. Well positioned inside the box, he struck first time, leaving goalkeeper Diogenes with no chance. Santos equalized with the last play of the first half, with a free kick by Wesley.

The Boys of the Nest returned for the second half and managed to assert their technical superiority, achieving a rout and their fourth consecutive victory in the Brazilian Championship. In the 18th minute, Gabriel Barros crossed into the box, and the defense cut it to Yuri de Oliveira. The midfielder struck a clean, low shot, putting Flamengo back in front. Flamengo didn't give up on the attack, extending their lead in the 32nd minute. This time, Yuri de Oliveira crossed to Lázaro, who headed the ball into the back of the net for his third goal of the competition. In stoppage time, Marcos Felipe was brought down in the box. Richard Rios took a superb shot, knocking the Santos goalkeeper out of the picture, and scored Flamengo's fourth goal, rounding off Flamengo's rout in the Brazilian Championship.
