In a match held on Sunday afternoon (08), at the Francisco Novelletto Stadium, in Porto Alegre, and valid for the 10th round of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo's U-20 team performed better than their opponent and created the best opportunities. But they were unable to finish on goal, and left the field defeated by Internacional by 1x0. Despite the poor result, Mais Querido remains in fifth place in the championship standings, with 17 points, and established within the G8. Next Friday (13) at 15 pm, Rubro-Negro plays the classic against Vasco, in Gávea.

Mengão took the lead in the 12th minute and nearly opened the scoring. Early in the play, Pedro Arthur challenged the opposing defense inside the box, and goalkeeper Anthoni anticipated the opportunity and sent the ball out for a corner. Noga headed the ball over the Colorado goal. The game had few scoring chances, and both teams rarely entered the opposing goal. In the 34th minute, Thiaguinho took a chance from outside the box, but the ball went too high. 

The last scoring chance of the first half also fell to Flamengo. In the 47th minute, André headed the ball into the corner, but Anthoni palmed it out for a corner. After the shot, Thiaguinho grabbed the rebound and fired a first-time shot to the left of the Rio Grande do Sul goalkeeper. Flamengo went into the break better on the field and creating more opportunities. 

In the second half, the Garotos do Ninho continued to play better. In the tenth minute, Pedrinho hit a cross, and Anthoni made the save. Flamengo dominated the match, putting pressure on Internacional, who were barely defending, in search of a goal. In the 25th minute, Werton fired a powerful shot over the Rio Grande do Sul goal. In the 28th minute, Luan crossed, Werton headed, and the defense cleared for a corner.

Internacional pressed forward and created the best opportunities. In the 36th minute, Daniel Cabral shot from the edge of the box, and Anthoni saved another. Subsequently, in an isolated play after a long shot from the goalkeeper, Internacional opened the scoring with a goal from Matheus Cadorini. Otavio subsequently received a red card, and Flamengo was unable to equalize.
