Justice and football definitely don't go hand in hand. In a match played at CT do Caju in Curitiba on Sunday night (10), valid for the second leg of the Brazilian Championship semifinal, Flamengo's U-20 team, led by coach Mauricio Souza, faced Athletico PR. For at least 70 minutes of the duel, the Gaerotos do Ninho were infinitely superior to their opponent, even playing away from home and on synthetic turf. And it was precisely in the two moments of the duel in which the Mais Querido was much the better team on the field that Athletico scored two goals, which ended up being decisive in the final score of 3-1 (Gabriel Barros) for the home team. Since the first leg, at Gávea, had ended 2-2, Flamengo is out of the competition final. The next match for the U-20 category is the Campeonato Carioca, scheduled to start on March 17. 

Athletico PR opened the scoring in the first minute of play, through Vinicius Mingotti. The "Garotos do Ninho" (The Nest Boys) maintained their composure and went on the attack in search of an equalizer. In the fifth minute, Max received the ball at the edge of the box and struck hard. The ball was headed toward goal, but deflected off the defense and went out for a corner. In the 21st minute, Lázaro found a beautiful pass behind the defense to Ramon. He crossed to Max, who struck first time, but had his shot blocked once again by the Atlético defense.

Flamengo controlled the game and dominated its attacking half, but Athletico extended its lead. In the 28th minute, Julimar fired a low shot from a loose ball into the net to score the home team's second goal. Three minutes later, in the 31st minute, Flamengo pulled one back. After a cross into the box, Gabriel Aires battled with the defense in the air, and the ball fell to Gabriel Barros, who showed opportunism to score Mengão's first goal in Curitiba. Flamengo dominated the game and deserved the equalizer. In the 40th minute, Ramon sent a perfect cross to Richard, but his header was weak and easily saved by goalkeeper Leonardo Linck. 

The Rio de Janeiro Red-and-Blacks came back even stronger in the second half, applying intense pressure in the first 15 minutes in search of an equalizer. Flamengo had good shots in the second, third, and twelfth minutes, all saved by Leonardo Linck. Athletico was just scoring, with all their lines deep. But just as in the first half, when the Garotos do Ninho were much the better team on the field and pressing for an equalizer, Dudu scored the home team's third goal with a deflected shot from outside the box in the 12th minute, giving the match its final score.
