In a duel held on Sunday morning (26) at CT Rei Pelé, in Santos, and valid for the 17th round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, the Garotos do Ninho lost to Santos 1-0. The result takes away Flamengo's chances of taking the lead in the competition, and keeps Mais Querido in fifth place, with 30 points, within the classification zone for the quarterfinals of the Brasileirão. In the next round, Mengão hosts Fortaleza, in Gávea. Before, on Thursday (30), Rubro-Negro takes to the field for the second leg against Fluminense, valid for the final of the Campeonato Carioca. In the 21st minute, Daniel Cabral stole the ball on the halfway line and led a counterattack. He passed it to Matheus França, who was blocked by goalkeeper Eduardo Araújo as he was about to shoot. After an even start, Flamengo pushed forward and began to pressure the São Paulo team. In the 25th minute, Matheus França passed to Thiaguinho, whose shot was deflected for a corner by the defense. Santos threatened in the 35th minute, when Alex Fernandes took a shot from outside the box, but Flamengo goalkeeper Matheus Cunha made a great save, palming it out for a corner.

In the 42nd minute, Matheus França found himself one-on-one with Eduardo Araújo, who made the save and saved Santos. In the final play of the first half, João Pedro sped the ball into the box and passed it to André.
