U-20s press until the end, draw with Grêmio and remain in sole leadership of the Brasileirão

In the end, the 1-1 draw (Vitor Gabriel), in addition to keeping the Garotos do Ninho undefeated in the competition, consolidates the Mais Querido in the isolated leadership of the Brasileirão, now with a campaign of eight wins and three draws. Next Wednesday (28), Rubro-Negro receives Cruzeiro, with time and location still to be defined by the CBF.
The "Garotos do Ninho" (The Nest Boys) showed they wanted another championship win with their first attack. In the fourth minute, Vitor Gabriel beat his marker, headed the ball, and Wendel was well-positioned to unleash a first-time bomb. The ball bounced off goalkeeper Adriel's left post and out of bounds. Grêmio responded in the seventh minute with a fine run from Hernandes. Pedro Caracoci came out on time, closed the corner of the attacker's goal, and made a great save.
The game was evenly matched, with both teams equally likely to create scoring chances. In the 17th minute, Rafinha's shot was off-target by Pedro Caracoci, who showed agility and made another great save. The next minute, Luiz Henrique took a shot from outside the box, but Adriel held on without rebounding. In the 30th minute, Matheus França passed the ball to Luiz Henrique, who fired a first-time shot. The ball capriciously bounced off the Grêmio post.

Flamengo pressed forward in search of another victory in the Brasileirão. In the 37th minute, Vitor Gabriel's header crossed the entire goal line and went out for a goal kick on the opposite side. Flamengo fought for the win until the end, and had their last chance in stoppage time. In the 47th minute, after a cross into the box, Habraão struck first-time, and the ball exploded off Adriel's post, who was helpless. The draw keeps the "Garotos do Ninho" (The Boys of the Nest) in sole possession of the Brazilian Championship lead.
