Looking to recover after a setback against Olaria, in the opening of the second phase of the OPG Tournament, Flamengo's Under-20 team hosts Madureira on Saturday morning (27), at Gávea. The ball rolls at 10 am for the match valid for the second round of the state competition.

The last time Flamengo and Madureira faced each other was in the 2017 Taça Rio, at Gávea. On that occasion, Flamengo emerged victorious with a score of 3-1.

In the OPG Tournament, the Flamengo youth team has played four matches, with two wins, one loss, and one draw, scoring 12 goals and conceding three. Against Carapebus in the second round, Flamengo won 7-0, the biggest victory of the competition so far. Vitor Gabriel is the tournament's top scorer with six goals.

The Conselheiro Galvão team is also having a solid campaign in the OPG. So far, they have three wins and one draw. The most emblematic result came in the second round of the first phase, a 1-0 victory over Fluminense. 

Eight teams are divided into two groups of four associations. The teams will play each other within their own group in a home-and-away format. From there, the two teams that will compete in the final will emerge.
