Flamengo draws with Vasco in the preliminary round of the Clássico dos Milhões and qualifies for the final

The Flamengo youth academy is in yet another final. The U-20 team qualified for the final against Botafogo after a 1-1 draw with Vasco in the Guanabara Cup semifinal. Left-back Jorge scored Flamengo's goal in the first leg. after returning from the summons. The match took place at Maracanã, in the preliminary round of the Clássico dos Milhões this Sunday (19.04).
After winning the first leg, Flamengo managed to hold on to a draw in the first half, which would have secured qualification. In the second half, Wayni came on to replace Felipe Vizeu, but it was in the 25th minute that the fans celebrated: Jorge shook off his marker with a lob and shot into the top corner to score the red-and-black's first goal of the match. Nine minutes later, Vasco equalized, but the red-and-blacks were assured of qualification.

Gávea was the stage for the youth team's games this Sunday. In the U-15 Guanabara Cup, Flamengo thrashed Boavista 5-1. Wendel, Yuri, Vinicius, and Marco Antonio (2) scored for the Mais Querido. The U-17 team also thrashed the same opponent, but by a score of 7-1. Maicon (2), Marcelinho, Antonio Carlos (2), Jean Lucas, and Vinicius Souza scored the goals for the red-and-blacks. 

In the Copa Timóteo, Flamengo defeated Aert/ES 5-0 with goals from Lucas Freitas, Nicholas, Marcelo Sá, Harisson, and Gean. The team faces Cruzeiro in the semifinals.
