On the afternoon of last Thursday (27.02), Flamengo drew 0-0 with the leader Nova Iguaçu, in the 11th round of the state junior championship. With the result of the match, held at the Nivaldo Pereira stadium, the Rubro-Negro remains in the G-4, the group of teams that qualify for the knockout stage of the Taça Guanabara, in third place, with 21 points.

"I think the result was fair. They had a good moment in the match, they were more prominent in the first half. Then we dominated in the second half, but the game was very good. They were two good teams playing equally. Perhaps a detail could have decided the match for either side. I think the only fairer thing than this draw is a draw with goals, to crown the good performance of both teams," analyzed Marcelo Buarque, the boys' coach.

The boys' next match will be next Wednesday, the 5th, against Bonsucesso, at 15:30 pm, at the Leônidas da Silva stadium.
