U-20 concedes last-minute goal and loses to Tigres 2-1
Despite the adverse result, Garotos do Ninho remain in direct contention for qualification for the Semifinals of the Guanabara Cup
By Ian Sena - inIn a match valid for the seventh round of the Guanabara Juniors Cup, the Garotos do Ninho entered the field on Saturday morning (04.03) to face Tigres at the Los Lários Stadium in very hot weather, they took the lead after 12 minutes but suffered the comeback with a goal in the 49th minute of the second half, and were defeated by 2 x 1 (Patrick).
The result takes away the chances of Mais Querido taking sole leadership of Group A of the competition in the round, but keeps them in direct contention for the two spots in the semifinals, tied before the conclusion of the remaining games with Botafogo (13 points) and ahead of Nova Iguaçu (11 points). There are still eight rounds to be played.

Flamengo returns to the field next Saturday (11.03), at 10 am, when they host Portuguesa, in Gávea.
Against Tigres, the Rubro-Negro fielded Hugo Souza, Kleber, Bernardo, Dantas and Moraes, Hugo Moura, Jean Lucas (Theo), Patrick (Luiz Henrique), Lucas Silva, João Pedro (Gabriel Silva), and Loran. The match marked the return of coach Gilmar Popoca to the team after his vacation.
