After debuting with a draw against Portuguesa (1-1) last Saturday (29.08), in Gávea, Flamengo's under-20 team had its second game for the OPG Cup this Wednesday (02.09). Rubro-Negro faced Ceres away from home, at the Antônio Mourão Vieira Filho Stadium, the famous Olaria stadium, also known as Rua Bariri. The game ended 1-1, with a goal by Felipe Vizeu.
With coach Zé Ricardo on vacation, assistant coach Waltinho is in charge. The current squad is made up of newly signed players who played less in the first half of the year, and players from the youth team, already focusing on 2016 planning. The players who played the most in the first half of the year are on vacation and will return for the first matches of the Copa do Brasil, which begins on September 29th.
