In a match played on Thursday afternoon (01), Flamengo's U-20 team maintained its 100% record in the State Championship and defeated Bangu by a score of 1x0 (Luiz Henrique) away from home, in the traditional heat of the Moça Bonita Stadium. The result keeps the Garotos do Ninho at the top of Group A of the Guanabara Cup, with six points won in two rounds, and undefeated in the season, with 10 wins and one draw, in addition to winning the fourth São Paulo Junior Football Cup championship. In the next round, this Saturday (03), Mais Querido receives Resende in Gávea, at 16 pm.

The red-and-blacks' first chance came in the seventh minute. Patrick took a closed corner, and defender Lucas Leonardo headed it back, nearly scoring an own goal. In the 12th minute, Patrick made a beautiful individual move and sent a low cross into the box, but goalkeeper Flávio was alert and intercepted the ball. In the 15th minute, Hugo Moura passed the ball behind the defense to Yuri. The midfielder headed the ball against the goalkeeper and won the corner for the Mais Querido. Bernardo rose higher than everyone else and headed it in with style. The ball went just past Flávio's right corner.

The Ninho Boys pressed forward and nearly opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Wendel played a one-two with Luiz Henrique and burst into the box alone. After a bit of a tangle with the ball, he passed it to Luiz Henrique, who lovingly rolled it to Patrick, who slotted it home with a beautiful shot. The ball capriciously bounced off the post. In the 26th minute, Yuri played a one-two with Luiz Henrique again and was fouled dangerously just outside the box. Patrick took a good shot, and Flávio palmed it out for a corner, saving Bangu. In the 41st minute, Braian dribbled past his marker and crossed for Patrick, who rose unmarked but headed wide.

Just as in the first half, Flamengo started the second half pressing their opponents. But this time, they didn't take long to open the scoring. In the sixth minute, Yuri saw Theo's run down the left wing. He cut inside and knowingly passed the ball to Luiz Henrique, who controlled it inside the box and fired a fine shot into the corner, unstoppable for goalkeeper Flávio. Bangu threatened in the 17th minute, when Luis Fernando got past Braian and hit a powerful shot into the corner, which Hugo Souza made a good save. In the 33rd minute, Waschington took a chance from outside the box, which Flávio made a solid save, in what would be the last scoring chance of the match. In the final minutes, Flamengo held the lead, but suffered a major scare when João Marcos appeared unmarked in the box and shot powerfully, but Hugo Souza made a spectacular save, saving the Mais Querido, Group A leader of the Taça Guanabara.

"Another good victory for our team, in a very difficult game, as we knew it would be. I'm very happy to score another important goal and to be able to continue helping our group. At the end, I felt a lot of muscle pain, a sign of the dedication and dedication of all of us for Flamengo. We remain strong this season, in pursuit of our goals, which are always the titles," said Luiz Henrique, the afternoon's top scorer.
