The red-and-black U-20 team secured a thrilling victory in the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Cup this Wednesday (12.11). In the 42nd minute of the second half, striker Douglas Baggio scored a penalty against Olaria. Idols Adílio and Julio César Urigeller watched the match at Gávea alongside director Carlos Noval, who highlighted the athletes' desire:

"It was a very difficult and complicated game, but we managed to win in the second half with Flamengo's usual grit. We left here with the result, and now Bangu is coming. With the goal difference being a battle, the whole team will push forward and we'll go after qualification," said Carlos Noval, executive director of the youth teams. The match also marked the debut of coach Zé Martins.
