With a good crowd in Gávea on Wednesday afternoon (15), Flamengo defeated Coritiba 2-1 (Klebinho and Vitor Gabriel) in a match valid for the second round of the second phase of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. With the victory, the Garotos do Ninho maintained their 100% performance in Group F of the national competition, and opened up an advantage in the isolated leadership of the group. In the next round, Mais Querido plays the classic against Vasco, in São Januário. The duel is scheduled for Wednesday, the 22nd, at 16:30 pm, with live broadcast on SporTV.

The first chance fell to the red-and-blacks. In the third minute, Klebinho advanced quickly and passed to Reinier. He challenged goalkeeper Marco Montes, who cleared the danger. In the sixth minute, Klebinho again burst into the box and chipped the ball over the bar, but the ball sailed over the goal. In the 30th minute, Vitor Gabriel controlled the ball just outside the box and unleashed a powerful shot, which Marcos Montes made a great save.

Flamengo opened the scoring in the first half, again thanks to a solo play by Klebinho. In the 39th minute, the "Boy from the Nest" drove the ball through the opposing defense and struck a left-footed shot from the edge of the box, leaving Marcos Montes with no chance to save. 

Coritiba equalized four minutes into the second half, with a shot from the edge of the box by Igor Cruz. The game was evenly matched, with few scoring chances. In the 21st minute, Hugo Moura took a shot from the edge of the box, but it didn't pose much of a threat to the Curitiba goal. Bill fired a beautiful shot from outside the box in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper, well-positioned, made the save. The following minute, Vitor Gabriel played well as a pivot and passed the ball to Bill. He crossed to Yuri, who failed to control the ball inside the box and wasted a good opportunity.

Flamengo scored the second in the 35th minute. Yuri hit a cross, the goalkeeper deflected it and Vitor Gabriel appeared well positioned to bulge the net at Gávea, and give the Garotos do Ninho sole leadership of Group F.

"I want to praise, first and foremost, the quality and unity of the group. This is fundamental to our good performance on the field. Thank God I was able to contribute with another good performance and a goal, my third in the competition. Another step taken, but we still have a long way to go towards our main objective, which is the title," said Klebinho.
