On the afternoon of last Saturday (20), the current national champions of the under-20 category, Flamengo and Fluminense, entered the field in Laranjeiras for a classic valid for the fifth round of the Guanabara Junior Cup, the first round of the State Championship. The victory over Tricolor came with a penalty kick in the 37th minute of the second half. Lucas Silva was fouled inside the box and Lucas Paquetá converted the shot, scoring the only goal of the match.

With the victory, Flamengo reached six points and occupies ninth place in the standings, but only three points behind the fourth-place team. The top four teams at the end of the first half of the season will play in the semifinals. The next match for the U-20 Guanabara Cup will be on Wednesday (24), against Cabofriense. The match is scheduled for 15:30 pm, at Correão Stadium, in Cabo Frio.
