In a match held on Thursday afternoon (15), in Gávea, Flamengo's U-20 team, led by coach Mauricio Souza, fairly beat Sport by a score of 2-0 (Ryan Luka and Matheus França), and won three important points in the Brazilian Championship of the category. Even playing once again with many absences (the two goals scored by athletes who are still part of the U-17 squad proves this), the Garotos do Ninho imposed themselves from the beginning of the game, created the best opportunities, pressured the opponent from start to finish, and left the field with a deserved victory. In the next round, Flamengo travels to Goiânia, where they visit Goiás, on Sunday (18), at 15 pm.

Flamengo started the match pressing their opponents in search of the first goal, and had a great opportunity in the seventh minute when Richard was brought down in the box, and the referee awarded a penalty. Yuri de Oliveira took a low shot, but goalkeeper Tulio Galindo made the save. Flamengo remained undeterred and continued to search for the goal. In the 29th minute, after a corner kick from Yuri de Oliveira, Rhyan Paradela beat the goalkeeper in the air and headed the ball towards goal. The defense cleared the danger on the line.

Flamengo returned for the second half with Matheus França replacing Pedro Franco and became even more attacking.
