They're champions! After winning the first leg 2-1 at Gávea, Flamengo faced Vasco again in the second leg of the Taça Guanabara final this Saturday (June 08th) at São Januário. In a hard-fought match, the opponents won 06-1 in regulation time, with a goal from Lucas Santos, and took the match to penalties. In the shootout, the "Garotos do Ninho" won 0-5 with two important saves from goalkeeper Hugo Souza, thus securing the title of the first round of the Campeonato Carioca. With this victory, the "Mais Querido" confirmed its place in this year's Campeonato Carioca final and also in the 4 Copa do Brasil in the category.
