On Saturday morning (27), Mais Querido faced the first challenge in the Otávio Pinto Guimarães Tournament (OPG), in Gávea. The match ended with a 1-0 victory for the red-black team, with a goal from center forward Daniel dos Anjos in the first half. Near the end of the match, defender Igor received a red card and is suspended for the next match.

Coach Gilmar Popoca fielded an alternate team for the tournament's debut, giving several players playing time. Some of the players who regularly play for the Flamengo U-20 team were not included in the match, but will return to action later in the tournament.

The next match for the Mais Querido under-20 team will be against Portuguesa, at the CEFAT Stadium, in Niterói. The game will take place on Saturday (03), with the ball rolling from 10 am.
