It's become routine. Just 17 days after beating Palmeiras 3-0 in Cariacica and winning the unprecedented title of Brazilian U-20 champion, the Garotos do Ninho faced the São Paulo team again on Wednesday night (18) at Elcyr Resende Stadium, in Bacaxá, this time for the first leg of the Brazilian Super Cup in the category. But the score was the same. A 3-0 victory for the red-and-black team (Wendel [2] and Yuri de Oliveira), and a great advantage built for the return leg, scheduled for Sunday (22) at 14 pm, at Fonte Luminosa, in Araraquara. The Mais Querido travels with the possibility of losing by up to two goals to close the most successful year in the history of Flamengo's youth football with a flourish, guaranteeing the fifth U-20 title of the year and a place in the Copa Libertadores da América in the category. 

The first goal-scoring chance of the game fell to the red-and-blacks. In the eighth minute, Ramon made a fine individual play and delivered a perfect cross that quickly reached Richard Rios, who slotted it over Palmeiras goalkeeper Magrão's goal. In the 16th minute, Richard Rios tried again. This time, the ball deflected off the defense and went over the goal for a corner kick. 

On their third opportunity, the Boys of the Nest opened the scoring. After a pass, Yuri Cesar outpaced the entire opposing defense, controlled the ball with skill, and fired a cross into the box. Opportunistic and well-positioned, Wendel tapped it in first time to score the first goal for the Mais Querido. Palmeiras only threatened in the 43rd minute, when Patrick's free kick was saved by Hugo Souza.

The São Paulo team tried to create something early in the second half, but just like in the first, it was Flamengo who had the best chances. The first came in the tenth minute, when Gomes anticipated the pass and stole the ball in midfield, led a fast counterattack, and passed it to Rodrigo Muniz. Just outside the box, Mengão's U-20 top scorer of the season, with 28 goals, beat his defender and fired a powerful shot over Magrão's goal. 

In the 32nd minute, Guilherme Bala played a one-two with Yuri Cesar, dribbled past the defender, and unleashed a powerful cross. Magrão flew and made a great save, preventing the red-and-blacks' second goal of the game. Matheus França then crossed, and Wendel headed in, but Magrão saved again. In the 35th minute, there was no way out. Yuri de Oliveira, who had just come on, received the ball in the center circle, charged forward, beat the entire Palmeiras defense, and fired a low, powerful shot to score a stunning goal, bulging the opponent's net and extending the Garotos do Ninho's lead in the match.

Flamengo wanted more, and in the 38th minute, Wendel received the ball at the edge of the box and crossed it to score the third for Mais Querido, repeating the score from the recent Brazilian Championship final and putting Rubro-Negro closer to a spot in the Under-20 Copa Libertadores da América.
