Flamengo U-14 coach Dudu Patetuci commented on the good moment of the red-black youth team. On Wednesday (19.11), the team had six athletes called up to the Brazilian U-15 National Team. The call-up was for the BH Cup.

In October, the players managed to beat the team in a friendly, even with five Flamengo players playing in the green and yellow jersey. "Flamengo is happy when an athlete from the club is called up, and especially when more than one player is called up. This is what has been happening with the generation born in 2000, who have had several players called up throughout this year, like this year, where six were selected," reveals Patetuci. 

The red-and-black players called up are: Patrick da Silva (defender); Athirson and Wesley (full-backs); Leandro da Silva (midfielder); and Lincoln Corrêa and Vinícius (forwards). All of the players are still of age for the U-14 team, but they have another opportunity to gain experience in a higher age group.

"We are happy and believe that the work in the club's youth divisions is on the right track," declared the coach.
