Among them was a 15-year-old from Pernambuco named Douglas Baggio, who arrived in Rio de Janeiro to try his luck at a soccer club. Today, at 18, Douglas is a forward for Flamengo's U-20 team and stands out for being on another statistical list: the top scorers in the Carioca Junior Championship.

"I go into every game with the intention of scoring, and these two games against Fluminense will be the games of my life. A final against a big team... I'll give my all to come out as the championship's top scorer. I'm already one of the top scorers, but I want to score more goals to break the tie," said Douglas Baggio.

The two matches Douglas referred to are the finals of the U-20 Carioca Championship, which will be played over the next two Saturdays at Moça Bonita Stadium in Bangu. The Flamengo striker is one of the competition's top scorers. Like Botafogo's Yguinho, he has already found the net ten times. The Flamengo striker's desire to finish as the state's sole top scorer is strong, but he didn't hesitate when asked whether he would rather be the champion or the top scorer in the Carioca.

"Champion! I have to think about the group. It's no coincidence that I scored those ten goals. Everyone helped me a lot, and with their help, I'm going all out for the finals," said the striker.
