Flamengo's youth team failed to win the Eurofarma Super Cup, but returned to Rio de Janeiro confident they had accomplished their duty. Despite losing the penalty shootout in the final against Santos, the Rubro-Negro had the best campaign of the international tournament, emerging undefeated with five wins and one draw, right in the final.

Among the results were impressive victories, such as a 3-0 victory over Porto of Portugal and a 6-0 victory over Sevilla of Spain. With convincing performances and relying on individual talents like Rafael Galhardo, Eliabe, and Dudu, coach Paulo Henrique's team received high praise from fans and professionals alike.

"First, I'd like to congratulate all the players and the coaching staff, led by Paulo Henrique and Toninho Barroso. It was a demonstration of Flamengo's strength in its youth teams. They had a brilliant campaign," said coach Rogério Lourenço.

Experienced in the youth ranks, after all, in addition to coaching Flamengo's youth and junior teams, he also managed the Brazilian U-20 national team. Rogério Lourenço praised full-back Galhardo, Flamengo's captain and top scorer in the competition with five goals. According to him, the player has everything it takes to forge a successful career in football.

"I've known Galhardo for a long time, he was with me on the national team and I'm happy for him, he's already part of our professional squad and will return to the group after a few days' rest. He has a lot of potential, performs well in the middle and on the wing and is a player with a great future," he added.
