The vice president of futsal, youth soccer and women's soccer, Vitor Zanelli, was invited this Monday (26) to participate in the program "Garotos do Ninho", on FlaTV. The director spoke about the work done in the two departments and also spoke about the titles won in recent years. Watch some excerpts from the interview:

About futsal
"Futsal is our main tool for improving our athletes' performance. We work collaboratively and complement the field; it's a process that extends from U-7 to U-13. The same players who play indoors also play on the field. This greatly helps the kids' development; it's essential. Around the world, 90% of the Brazilians who excel in the sport started out playing futsal."

Important games at the base

"Training and winning are complementary actions. When we take players to a quarterfinal, semifinal, or final, we're taking them to play tougher, more intense games, with more fans. So, they begin to gain more experience and maturity to handle these moments of greater pressure."

Expectation for 2024

It's a challenging year, like every year. As I said, we always want more. The work being done isn't just a matter of the field or the level of the athletes; it's the work of all the committees, all the departments, and the Ninho administration. We just delivered two more fields in December, and by the end of the year, we'll have a 2,000-seat stadium here (Ninho do Urubu). Our infrastructure is constantly improving. The better we have infrastructure, the more space we'll have to work, and the better we'll be able to develop better athletes. Today, our professional level here is extremely excellent, the whole team that helps us develop these players with potential."
