On the morning of last Saturday (28.12), Flamengo's under-20s won the training match in preparation for the São Paulo Cup against Volta Redonda, 2-1, at Ninho do Urubu. The red-black goals were scored by Douglas Baggio and Cafu.  

"The boys have shown that they are very focused on the competition, they are very focused on this final stretch of preparation. We have very high expectations for the opening game against Santo André. One important thing is that we have all the players available to play in the competition; no players are in the medical department," said Cleber dos Santos, pleased with the squad.

This was the second friendly match held at Ninho do Urubu, which was part of the Copinha training camp. The team had previously beaten Audax on December 21st by the same score.

Flamengo travels on January 02nd for its Copa São Paulo debut, which will take place the following day against the ABC Paulista team. Flamengo is fighting for its third consecutive title in the competition.
