Victory could put Flamengo in the qualifying zone for the Brazilian Under-17 Championship

By Communication - inIn search of a place in the quarterfinals of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship, Flamengo will face América-MG this Wednesday (30), at 15 pm, at Arena Vera Cruz, in Betim, a city close to Belo Horizonte. A victory in the duel, valid for the 12th round of the competition, could leave Rubro-Negro in the classification zone, depending on other results.
The delegation is already in Betim, where coach Daniel Franklin led, this Tuesday (29), the last activity before the match, at CT Coimbra. Flamengo is in tenth place in the Brazilian U-17, with 17 points (five wins, two draws and four losses), and is three behind Athletico-PR, in fifth place.
In the previous round, Flamengo drew 2-2 with Atlético-MG at José Bastos Padilha Stadium in Gávea. The team fell behind, came from behind to win the match with goals from Victor Hugo and Rafinha, and finally conceded the equalizer in the second half. The victory almost came, but was denied by the crossbar in the 42nd minute of the second half.
