Born in São João de Meriti, midfielder Thauan Mello, aged 16, signed his first professional contract with Flamengo. The midfielder, who arrived at Flamengo at just 7 years old, agreed to the contract until 2029, this Tuesday (30), at Ninho do Urubu.

Thauan has been wearing the Sacred Mantle (Flamengo's jersey) since 2017. The athlete began his journey at the club playing for the under-7 team and is currently part of the under-16 squad, which is competing in the Rio Cup for that category.
