Flamengo/Marinha remains undefeated in women's soccer in 2019! In a closely contested match on Saturday afternoon (April 13th) in Gávea, the Mengão girls beat Audax-SP 04-1 in the fourth round of the Brazilian Women's Championship. With the victory, the Rubro-Negro team remains at the top of the competition with 0 points.

Audax-SP began the first half with some dominance, but without threatening Renata's goal. Despite this, the Red-and-Blacks had the better chances and twice had scoring opportunities. With a lot of movement down the right, in the 30th minute, Juliana fed a through ball to forward Raiza, who tapped in and nearly opened the scoring.

In the second half, Flamengo/Marinha completely dominated. Just three minutes in, Gabi's long-range shot hit the post and nearly scored a stunning goal. The pressure mounted, and it paid off. Fifteen minutes in, Raiza won a challenge in attack, burst into the box, and shot into the middle of the goal to score the winning goal for "Mais Querido."

In the next round, continuing to seek leadership, Flamengo/Marinha will go to Balsamo (SP) to face Ponte Preta, on Saturday (20), at 15 pm.
