André Rocha participates in an event organized by UNIFOOT
The women's football coordinator was one of the speakers at the meeting and discussed the formation of squads for competitions
By Flamengo Communication - inLast week, UNIFOOT (Union of Women's Football Clubs of Rio de Janeiro) organized an event called "Thinking Football" at the OCB Sescoop auditorium in downtown Rio de Janeiro. André Rocha, coordinator of Mengão, was one of the speakers and spoke about strategic planning with a focus on squad development. This year, the Mais Querido's calendar is packed with competitions, both at the youth and professional levels.
Recently, the Rubro-Negro team became undefeated champions of the third edition of the Unifoot Pro Diamond Cup, defeating LGD/Karanba 5-0 in Gávea. The tournament is professional, but the club played with its U-20 team and posted excellent results: seven wins, 43 goals scored, and only three conceded. André addressed this topic during his talk and emphasized that the goal is to make the sport more widespread.
"Flamengo's presence at events like this is very important, as it gives us the opportunity to support and assist in the development of women's soccer. We emphasized at this meeting that the club is open to sharing knowledge and providing excellent opportunities for all girls in our state," said the director.
While the main team trains for the match against Red Bull Bragantino, next Wednesday (3), valid for the Brasileirão, the champion girls returned and began preparing for the State Championship.
