On the eve of the start of the biggest national competition, the Meninas da Gávea went to Ninho, visited the facilities and received a surprise: after the professional team's training, Jorge Jesus spoke with the squad that will defend the Manto Sagrado in 2020 and made a point of greeting each one.

In addition to meeting with the Mister, who wished them good luck during the season and emphasized that collective performance can bring great achievements, the athletes held a media day.

Samhia Simão, top scorer in the last Campeonato Carioca, revealed that she was moved when she met the coach and made a point of remembering a phrase he said.

"That day was unforgettable. I'd always dreamed of meeting Mister, an international football icon, and I wasn't expecting it. When he walked into the room, I had mixed feelings. I couldn't believe it. Mister treated us very well and left an iconic message: 'An athlete has individual and collective goals. Some think only about the personal, and others, about the bigger picture. But it's collective achievements that generate individual ones,'" he said.

The team's first game in the Brasileirão will be next Saturday (08), at 17 pm, against Santos, at the Ulrico Mursa stadium.
