Flamengo continues to move the transfer market with a view to all the competitions it will compete in in 2022. After closing with four signings (Gisseli, Leidiane, Cris and Duda) in the final stretch of last year and returning last Monday for exams and physical tests, the club agreed to the arrival of Gica, a promising player in national football who was at São Paulo. 

The forward has already won the Brazilian Under-16 and Under-18 titles and was called up to the Under-17 national team. A standout in recent seasons, Gica has a keen eye for goal, moves very well, and can also play on the wings. Accustomed to decisive matches in the youth academy, she will join the senior squad and, upon first contact, was emphatic in her statement.

"I'm fulfilling a dream. I've always wanted to play for Flamengo, one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a passionate and captivating nation. I'm incredibly happy. I'm here to contribute, to learn, and with a strong desire to win. I intend to score lots of goals and win titles with Mengão. The fans can expect grit, commitment, and dedication. I'm not here for a walk. I'm here to make history," she commented, quite excited.
