Flamengo has its first signing for the return of the Brazilian Women's Championship in August. Valéria Cantuário, who played the last three seasons for Benfica and has already been called up to the Brazilian national team, has signed a contract and has already started training at CEFAN.

A native of Teresina, Piauí, Valéria played for Tiradentes, Audax, and Vitória before joining São Paulo, where she shone, helped the team gain promotion to the top flight, and was eventually traded to Madrid CFF. She spent two years there before joining Portuguese football and becoming a three-time national champion. Known for her speed and skill, the forward says she is 100% ready to wear the Sacred Mantle.

"Being able to wear and defend the Mantle is something very important and special in my career. Flamengo is a club I identify with, and the anthem already says it, right? Win, win, win... I'm here to contribute and give my best every day on and off the field. I'll work hard and hope to win many titles here. Once a Flamengo player, always a Flamengo player," he stated.
