Returning to the Gávea Stadium, Flamengo/Marinha hosts, this Sunday (11), at 15:30 pm, the team from the Volta Redonda League. The duel, valid for the quarterfinals of the Rio de Janeiro Women's Football Championship, has free entry for the Nation to support the red-blacks.


The Meninas da Gávea have the best campaign in the State Championship so far. In five games, they have won five, accumulated 15 points, scored 30 goals, and conceded none. Flamengo is the only team with a 100% record.

The Volta Redonda League finished fourth in Group A, earning just one point in five matches. They lost four, drew one, scored two goals, and conceded 17.

Dispute system
The tournament will be played in four phases and will conclude in November. The first phase will be divided into two groups, with six clubs in Group A and five in Group B. The format will be with teams from the first group facing those from the second in a single round.

The four top-ranked teams in each group advance to the second round. The matches will be single-leg matches, and the home team will be the team with the best record.

Whoever wins earns a spot in the semifinals, which will feature a crossover between the winners of games 1 and 2/3 and 4. The winning clubs will play the final on neutral ground.
