Cida is the new addition to Flamengo/Marinha

Defender signs and is now available for the return of the Brazilian Championship

There's some news for Flamengo's women's soccer! With an eye on the return of the Brazilian Championship, Flamengo has signed defender Cida, formerly of Santos. At 34, she signed a contract with the club until the end of the season.

"My expectations are the best possible. I'm at a giant club and wearing the Sacred Mantle will be a great privilege. I want to thank God for the opportunity, Flamengo for trusting in my work, and the girls for their welcome. I want to help the team win games and win titles, and I intend to leave my mark on history," he emphasized.

The athlete is the ninth reinforcement in 2020. Previously, Annaysa, Carlinha, Dantas, Edna Baiana, Kelly, Michele Carioca, Jayanne and Lorraynne arrived (the last two via a Navy announcement). With the coronavirus pandemic, the team played only four times and has a 50% success rate in the competition. The return will be next Wednesday (26), at 15:30 pm, against Internacional, in Porto Alegre.
