Playing at home, in the 7th round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo had a great performance and thrashed Santos 7-0, on the afternoon of this Monday (29), at the Luso Brasileiro stadium. Cristiane (2), Camila Martins (own goal), Glaucia, Naná, Laysa, and Isadora scored for the Meninas da Gávea. With the victory, the Mais Querido rose to 10th place with eight points.

The game
When the ball started rolling on Ilha do Governador, the Meninas da Gávea took the initiative to attack, looking to open the scoring in the opening minutes. And the red-and-black's approach paid off! In the eighth minute, after a free kick in the box, top scorer Cristiane headed in to open the scoring: 1-0.

After the red-and-black goal, Santos was forced to come out more and began to prowl Mengão's box more frequently. But Santos continued to attack and managed to extend their lead in the 26th minute. Djeni took a free kick into the box and Camila Martins headed it into her own net: 2-0.

A few minutes later, Mengão scored the third again through Cristiane! Glaucia arrived well on the right and crossed into the box for the striker to find the net: 3-0. Flamengo went into the break with a strong lead.

In the first play of the second half, Cristiane scored her third goal of the game, but the assistant referee flagged for offside. With increased play, the red-and-black team continued to create chances to extend their lead.

In the 18th minute, the Meninas da Gávea scored their fourth goal, deservedly so! Djeni drove through the middle and passed to Glaucia, who beautifully dribbled past the Santos defender, entered the box, and tapped the ball past the goalkeeper to score a stunning goal: 4-0.

Five minutes later, Naná, who had just come on, scored the fifth for Mengão! She received a sweet pass from Glaucia, sped into the box, and fired into the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper no chance: 5-0. A beautiful victory for the red-and-blacks to get them back on track in the Brasileirão!

And the sixth came soon after. Fabi Simões crossed from the right, the ball reached Laysa, who dribbled past the defender and bulged the net: 6-0. To complete the red-and-black rout, Isadora scored the seventh goal and gave the final tally to the Luso Brasileiro.  

Next appointment
The Meninas da Gávea return to the field on Thursday (2) for the classic against Botafogo, which will be played at 15 pm, at Luso Brasileiro, for the 8th round of the Brasileirão Feminino.
