In the second leg of the Brasileirão U-20 Women's Championship semifinals, Flamengo had a great performance and beat Corinthians 3-0 on Thursday night (21), at Luso-Brasileiro, sealing their place in the final. Brendha, Kaylane Vieira and Alice scored the goals for the red-black team. Now, the Meninas da Gávea will face Botafogo, repeating last year's final, when they were crowned champions.

The game 

Within a minute of play, the Meninas da Gávea were already threatening Corinthians' goal. Cerqueira took a free kick, and the ball grazed the crossbar. Flamengo continued to dominate possession and opened the scoring in the 20th minute. Carol Martins delivered a beautiful pass, which Brendha drove into the box at speed and slotted into the left corner of the goal to make it 1-0. 

After the goal, Corinthians began to attack more, but without posing much threat, as the match was quite tight with intense competition for possession. In the final minutes, the duel remained tight, with no clear scoring chances for either side. As a result, the red-and-black team went into halftime with a solid lead, having won the first leg 1-0 last week. 

Less than a minute into the second half, Mengão extended their lead. Kaylane Vieira intercepted the Corinthians goalkeeper's pass and took a shot from long range. The ball flew over Rillary and softly slipped into the net: 2-0. 

Needing three goals to take the match to penalties, Corinthians began to hold the ball longer, exchanging passes in the attacking half. However, the red-and-black defense behaved very well, giving the opponent little space. In the 34th minute, Maria Fernanda sped down the field, entered the box, and struck with the tip of her boot. Rillary jumped to the left corner and palmed it away for a corner. 

To seal their qualification, the Meninas da Gávea scored the third goal in the final stretch. Alice received a great pass, beat the ball with speed, entered the box, and shot into the corner. The goalkeeper even touched the ball before it went in. With this result, Mengão secured a spot in the final of the competition and, for the second year in a row, will face Botafogo.
